About The Position

The Project Manager & Vendor Manager is responsible for leading bank-wide projects and overseeing the enterprise vendor management program. This dual role ensures that organizational initiatives are executed successfully, while also managing the full lifecycle of vendor relationships—from due diligence and onboarding to performance monitoring and renewal. The Project Manager partners with senior leadership and business units to optimize processes, deliver projects on time and within budget, and ensure that third-party partnerships support operational efficiency, compliance, and strategic growth. They will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of non-IT projects across the bank, while also managing the enterprise vendor management program. This role ensures projects are aligned with strategic goals, delivered on time and within budget, and that third-party vendors are engaged, monitored, and evaluated in compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Project Management curriculum or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience optimizing business processes and facilitating change management.
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis and the ability to construct complex data queries and collaborate with colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain the enterprise vendor management program for all third-party bank relationships.
  • Conduct vendor due diligence prior to engagement and perform ongoing monitoring as required by policy.
  • Partner with vendor owners and business units to complete annual reviews and maintain comprehensive vendor files.
  • Establish vendor performance metrics, monitor service level agreements (SLAs), and escalate issues as needed.
  • Conduct vendor risk assessments for new products and services in collaboration with initiating departments; facilitate required approvals from executives or the board.
  • Maintain and enhance vendor management policies, presenting annual updates for board approval.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for vendor contracts, renewals, and negotiations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute projects across departments, ensuring alignment with the bank’s goals.
  • Develop and manage project charters, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and manage project risks, escalating when necessary.
  • Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide timely reporting, dashboards, and status updates to executives and project sponsors.
  • Lead post-project evaluations and lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions through process improvement, vendor leverage, and data analysis.
  • Provide business units and management with performance metrics and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Develop and continuously improve business system solutions that support efficiency and growth.
  • Administer assigned business applications, ensuring features and functionalities are fully utilized.
