About The Position

The Project Analyst position at NOVEC involves supporting the Senior Director of IT & Cyber Security by overseeing project tasks and ensuring compliance with corporate goals and standards. The role requires a Subject Matter Expert with technical knowledge in IT and project management, focusing on improving business processes through effective tracking, reporting, and analysis of IT projects. This hybrid position is based in Manassas, Virginia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or a related business/IT field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Seven years of related experience in accounting, IT, and project management.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Certification in Project Management principles is preferred.
  • Experience with PowerBI is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams in developing cost estimates, determining priorities, and establishing schedules using project management methodology.
  • Develop, monitor, and reconcile corporate operating and capital budgets for the IT & Cyber Security project management office.
  • Formulate technical and financial data for the PMO in IT strategy and project planning objectives, system scope, cost data, and lessons learned.
  • Align technical and monetary requirements with the corporate environment as a member of the IT Quality and selection teams.
  • Provide contractual and financial oversight of the TRC professional services contract, including key performance indicators and overall business effectiveness.
  • Perform the duties of the Project & Contract Manager during their absence or incapacity when specifically designated.
  • Provide professional-level expertise and support to the executive leadership team, fostering an environment of ethical and professional conduct.
