About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to work on multiple projects and utilize your experience in the project execution process in Southern Nevada.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Business (or equivalent) and 8-10 years of experience in an administrative capacity, preferably in the assigned area of specialty.
  • Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Additionally, a demonstrated proficiency in keyboard skills and the utilization of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, is required.
  • Ability to administer a variety of activities simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Competency in documenting text and diagrams for business requirements, business processes, date models (Microsoft Visio or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with project administration on heavy civil design and construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Relieves manager of administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly.
  • Understands priorities within the office and helps ensure that they are met.
  • Establishes office guidelines and procedures; anticipates where problem areas may arise; evaluates alternative methods of accomplishing tasks and meeting goals; and initiates suitable action.
  • Assists with progress reporting, risk and issue tracking and resolution, project resource planning, and schedule review.
  • Briefs all levels of project and client bases with business process development knowledge industry best practices.
  • Keeps manager informed of all pertinent action/pending action.
  • Gathers, organizes, and analyzes materials; produces and distributes data in graphic, spreadsheet, or narrative format.
  • Gathers statistics and general data; reviews and combines this information into established reports for use within and outside the unit.
  • May develop new reports or revise existing reports, as directed.
  • Reviews time reports to verify accuracy of hours worked and Job#/WBS charges.
  • Follows up to ensure timely processing of corrections.
  • Maintains employee directory and related data pertaining to employees assigned to the unit, including company resumes.
  • Tracks paid-time-off hours charged and maintains schedule of future hours to be taken.
  • May establish and maintain records of equipment, including a log of equipment service dates.
  • May initiate requests for service.
  • May obtain basic data for completion of the unit’s overhead budget and prepare associated recurring reports.
  • May produce a comparative report of actual expenditures against budget as directed.
  • Establishes and maintains document archiving and retrieval systems, prioritizing the flow of project reports/correspondence and ensuring timeliness in the handling, processing, and resolution of requests, requirements, or problems.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
