About The Position

As a Project Administrator for a large research program, the candidate will support programming and administration related to multiple projects funded by the National Institutes of Health. They will develop and maintain systems to support a large group of staff, trainees, and faculty co-Investigators in conducting rigorous research to identify modifiable factors that might reduce dementia risk. They will regularly engage with program staff, leaders, and key stakeholders to support research operations, including via maintaining of ethical review applications, data use agreements, and data tracking systems, planning activities and events to enhance collaboration and accelerate research progress, and supporting communications to internal and external stakeholders, all under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and other collaborators on the research team. Other potential opportunities, as aligned with the candidate's interest and training, include participation in community-engaged research administration, research dissemination activities, and/or more complex data management activities. Certain terms and conditions of employment for this position, including the rate of pay, benefits, etc., are currently subject to negotiation with the appropriate union. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $62,500 - $93,800 (Annual Rate). Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Minimum 1+ years of directly relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated understanding of common systems and practices in epidemiologic research, including ethical review and data management systems.
  • Experience with planning meetings and events for the purpose of facilitating collaboration and achieving team goals.
