The Opportunity: We have an immediate opening for a regular full-time Project Accountant to work a hybrid remote schedule based out of our downtown Tempe, Arizona office. Requirements

  • 2+ years of related accounting experience plus a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and adjust to daily changes in priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in the office 3 days per week on average.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consulting industry or AEC industry.
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain projects in database.
  • Maintains project billing schedules and budget information.
  • Prepares complex project billings and supplementary information.
  • Performs accounts receivable collections, as requested, and manages work in process billings.
  • Works closely with project managers to review contracts, project costs, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assists with month-end bookkeeping duties, as required.
  • Assists with other clerical tasks, as requested.
  • Demonstrates accurate judgment about the applicability of project cost accounting, federal cost accounting standards, and federal/state payroll and payroll tax regulations to numerous accounting situations.

  • Compensation – This is a full-time position paid on a salaried basis between $45,000 to $70,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
