Learn more at www.aquatech.com Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Project Accountant to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The Project Accountant will report directly to the Corporate Controller and will perform the duties described in the job description below.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project accounting and/or cost control
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition and project costing
  • Advanced Excel skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction, EPC, manufacturing, or capital projects preferred
  • ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint, etc.) preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets
  • Investigate discrepancies between actual costs and budgeted costs, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions
  • Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC) and cash flow forecasts
  • Support earned value analysis and margin analysis (where applicable)
  • Track and evaluate financial impact of change orders
  • Oversee project-related invoicing, billing, and revenue recognition
  • Ensure proper cost coding and financial accuracy
  • Review subcontractor invoices and accruals
  • Reconcile project accounts monthly
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies
  • Present cost forecasts, monthly financial reporting packages, and financial analyses to operating divisions to support decision making
