About The Position
The Project Accountant supports assigned project management teams by managing all project-related financial and administrative processes. This role serves as a key financial liaison between project teams, owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal finance departments. The Project Accountant ensures accurate job cost tracking, timely invoicing, compliance documentation, and alignment between accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project financial health throughout the project lifecycle—from setup through closeout.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of administrative experience (construction preferred)
- Experience with: Oracle-based accounting systems Viewpoint Construction Software Construction project management software
- Certified payroll and workforce tracking experience
- Sales and use tax compliance exposure
- Bonding processes (performance, payment, bid bonds)
