Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in dealing with Federal and Commercial contracts, including billing experience with Lumpsum, Time & Material, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Units billing basis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as JD Edwards and DELTEK VantagePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to local offices.

Responsibilities

  • Review and support project setup.
  • Review contracts.
  • Provide contract billing support to multiple Project Managers.
  • Interpret contracts from a billing and cost perspective.
  • Approve and process credit write-off of any project-related billings.
  • Close out projects in the accounting system upon completion.
  • Assist the Financial group with compiling information for internal and external audits.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable with unknown payment received.
  • Authorize and process labor and expense transfers into and out of projects.
  • Assist with the new ERP transition. Help educate and coach Project Managers and Project Manager Designates in the new system.
  • Assist with updating the Project Accountant procedures and processes manual.
  • Participate in the weekly Project team meetings to help improve the work processes.
