The Programs Manager at Equitas Health is responsible for overseeing the programs teams at the assigned location, focusing on housing-first initiatives, HIV case management, and HIV/STI prevention strategies. This role involves direct supervision of client-facing staff, ensuring programmatic coordination, compliance with documentation standards, and fostering community partnerships to enhance service delivery for HIV+ and high-risk individuals.

  • Oversee direct service staff including recruitment, hiring, and training management-level staff.
  • Manage daily workflow and provide performance evaluations for the department.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve services for Equitas Health.
  • Provide training and support related to HIV and health record systems to staff.
  • Manage intake, assignment, transfer, and closure processes per agency guidelines.
  • Ensure documentation is maintained and completed within 48 hours of service.
  • Audit client files for eligibility and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to confidentiality practices and HIPAA standards.
  • Engage healthcare professionals to provide quality services to HIV+ individuals.
  • Develop strategic community partnerships for high-impact interventions.
  • Implement evaluation and quality assurance efforts in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Assist with linkage to care for newly diagnosed clients.
  • Coordinate schedules and appointment-based services.
  • Conduct client-centered HIV test counseling services as needed.
  • Represent the community at local planning advisory groups as assigned.
  • Promote a collaborative and productive working environment.
  • Two years of management experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Public speaking and group facilitation experience preferred.
  • Sensitivity and competence in cultural differences, particularly related to HIV/AIDS and minority health.
  • Experience in developing culturally appropriate marketing materials preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient-centered medical home models desired.
  • Adept knowledge in Microsoft Office Products required.
  • Reliable transportation and preferably a valid driver's license.
  • Experience in public speaking and group facilitation.
