About The Position

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT OKDHS EMPLOYEES ONLY. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Programs Field Representative - H11A CW Annual Salary $61,790.27 + Full State Employee Benefits The Program Field Representative position works to develop policies, monitors Post Adoption reports, develops forms, and practices within Post Adoption and is responsible for training both DHS staff and Tribal partners across the state on issues pertaining to adoption assistance and Post Adoption Services.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation; OR an equivalent combination and experience, substituting 1 additional year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
  • Professional experience in the fields listed must have been the primary job responsibility to be considered as qualifying.
  • Incidental performance of professional work in any area(s) shall not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference may be given to applicants who have at least 3 years of Child Welfare experience with at least one year as a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Review OKDHS & Tribal Adoptions applications for correctness & determine if IV-E or State funded.
  • Facilitate correct coding & Fostering Connections guidelines are met.
  • Keep abreast of Federal, Local & OKDHS policy for staff training.
  • Pull & review select policy sections to provide to all staff monthly.
  • Clarify any conflicts that are policy related by interfacing with Federal, Legals & selected internal & external partners.
  • Responsible for Supported Guardianships.
  • Carry a workload comprised of Funded Guardianship maintenance cases and ensure annual reviews of those cases are completed.
