That’s why all Commonwealth Credit Union Team Members are expected to live our Team 1 culture in all facets of their position. Our team is committed to ‘bettering lives through our passion to serve’ and this includes everyone - from our team members to the people in the communities we serve. We do this best when we appreciate each other for our differences, foster connections, and ensure an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and be successful. Our Programmers are responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, and support of applications used by credit union operations and member services. They must be willing to learn financial systems, data privacy, and regulatory requirements. They must demonstrate an ability to work constructively within a team environment -- actively contributing to group efforts, communicating effectively, sharing knowledge, and supporting team members for collective success. The duties and responsibilities of a Programmer include, but are not limited to: Demonstrating foundation knowledge of programming languages and tools. Assisting with the development and maintenance of internal applications and scripts. Writing clean, readable, and well documented code for assigned tasks and projects that meet requirements. Effectively organizing and documenting technical and project-related information to support code quality, team alignment, and knowledge sharing. Organizing work, following through on commitments, and meeting deadlines. Actively pursuing development opportunities, including attending conferences, acquiring certifications, completing learning courses in-house or other relevant platforms, engaging in both internal and external leadership programs. Afterhours and Saturday hours may be required. Must work effectively under stress and be able to meet tight deadlines.
