The Programmer Analyst 2 supports the development and maintenance of technology solutions that help Eagle Community Credit Union serve its members. This mid-level role works with other IT staff to analyze business needs, develop reports and workflows, and ensure systems meet regulatory requirements. The analyst contributes to improving member experience through technology and supports the Credit Unions core values of ICAREIntegrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.

  • Provides technical support to analyze user requests and convert them into useful computerized processes and/or reports.
  • Ability to gather information through research, organize data, design workflows, write technical specifications, develop specific code, test, validate, and complete user requests.
  • Provides new efficiencies, generates new reports, improves workflow processes, corrects data errors, automates manual tasks, and addresses compliance issues.
  • Review and update existing code to ensure it meets regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborates with third-party vendors to troubleshoot programming issues.
  • Creates clear and accurate programming instructions for operators to follow in production.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.
  • Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Can present information and respond to questions from groups such as managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience with Symitar core application systems.
  • Familiarity with basic programming languages, programming cycles, technical documentation, and code standards.
  • Understanding of basic Unix commands and FTP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Internet usage, and Web Applications.
  • Financial institution experience (credit union or bank) preferred.
