About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Programme Manager within our Adult Day Service. We are looking for an experienced manager who will play a key role within the operational management team. The successful candidate will be based at Hedley’s Horizons Day service and will work very closely with the management and senior leadership team to lead teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred programmes. A key part of the role will involve mentoring and supporting the staff team, ensuring that activities and programmes enable individuals to work towards their personal goals and aspirations. We are ideally looking for someone who has significant experience managing large teams within independent supported living settings and who has extensive experience supporting disabled adults with cerebral palsy, communication, sensory impairments and complex learning needs. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of governance and quality standards within adult services and will recognise the importance of individuals who access the service leading an ordinary life, being active citizens within their communities and having opportunities to make meaningful choices about their lives. They will be able to lead and develop teams to adopt this approach in their everyday practice. You will need to have excellent communication skills when working with colleagues, families and external professionals. You will also have a passion for delivering person-centred support and be committed to securing positive outcomes for everyone who attends the Day service.

Requirements

  • Significant experience managing large teams within independent supported living settings
  • Extensive experience supporting disabled adults with cerebral palsy, communication, sensory impairments and complex learning needs.
  • Strong understanding of governance and quality standards within adult services
  • Excellent communication skills when working with colleagues, families and external professionals.
  • Passion for delivering person-centred support and be committed to securing positive outcomes for everyone who attends the Day service.
