The Role In 2025, Cash App is setting its sights beyond the core programs that got us to 50 million monthly active users. We are breaking into new audiences with cross-functional go-to-market work, increasing adoption of our banking products, and accelerating virality. The Ecosystem Sales Team sits at the center of our growth ambition, responsible for driving non-payment revenue through innovative, high-margin opportunities. We are seeking an experienced Ad Sales Executive to accelerate the growth of our new programmatic advertising business. This key role focuses on prospecting, business development, relationship building and programmatic sales acceleration among a select group of endemic and non endemic clients. You'll utilize your industry connections and knowledge of the programmatic space to find and close advertising deals for enterprise and mid-market brands across Cash App Commerce Media. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of launching and growing new advertising solutions with a view on programmatic sales, can thrive in ambiguity and has an entrepreneurial mindset. You’ll play a key role in shaping our presence in-market, using data to tell the story of Cash App Commerce Media, being the voice of the client internally and taking the solution from 0-1 in the U.S.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus, but not required.
  • 5+ years of programmatic ad sales experience, preferably within a retail media network, digital publisher, agency trading desk, or DSP/SSP platform.
  • Proven ability to build and grow client relationships, close deals, and exceed revenue goals in a fast-paced or evolving environment.
  • Solid understanding of the programmatic ecosystem-including DSPs, SSPs, audience targeting, measurement, and brand safety.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, cross-functional environments and collaborating closely with Strategy & Ops, Data Science, Partnerships, Ad Ops, Product and Partner Marketing.
  • Familiarity with campaign performance tools and reporting platforms; comfortable interpreting data and making optimization recommendations.
  • Passion for digital advertising and/or commerce media.

  • Experience in fintech, retail, or commerce-related businesses is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a book of business across programmatic advertising partners (endemic and non endemic), curating a robust pipeline of sales activity, driving adoption of our commerce media solutions and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
  • Translate advertiser objectives into strategic programmatic campaigns using our available ad formats, audience targeting capabilities, insights and measurement tools.
  • Lead pre-sale execution in partnership with our Ad Tech and internal cross functional partners, developing recommendations and ensuring flawless campaign delivery.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for your accounts, building effective and long-lasting relationships with brand-side stakeholders tops down and bottoms up.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy & Ops, the Agency team and Partnerships Sales to coordinate efforts and accelerate growth.
  • Educate partners on our media offerings, data strengths, and commerce media innovation, helping them understand how our platform uniquely drives both upper- and lower-funnel outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Strategy & Ops, Data Science, Product, Design, and Ad Ops to surface client feedback, inform product development, and align roadmap priorities to advertiser needs.
  • Identify and pitch new opportunities to grow client investment by testing new formats, expanding to new surfaces, or piloting new solutions.
  • Contribute to sales enablement by informing narratives, case studies, and sales materials that articulate the value of programmatic across our platform.
  • Monitor campaign performance in tandem with account managers, ensuring clients receive actionable insights and optimization recommendations to drive ROI and retention.
  • Stay informed on industry trends including DSP innovation, privacy changes, audience targeting shifts, and commerce media developments to act as a trusted advisor to your accounts.
