Position’s Scope The Program Technician Supervisor monitors Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC clients. Ensures clients adhere to the Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC policies procedures, the PA health Department and CARF Standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write legibly.
  • Ability to follow supervisor’s directions.
  • Knowledge of basic principles and methods of drug and alcohol treatment programs.
  • Knowledge of basic behavior management and program principles.
  • Ability to make judgements re: health and welfare program clients and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (our facility locations are open 24/7).
  • High School Graduate/GED or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. will use multiple systems like EMR, HR, Scheduling, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PP, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be flexible (our facility locations are open 24/7.)
  • Travel to both Linesville and Greenville facility locations is required.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Great time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent documentation and organization skills
  • Must be kind and respectful to all clients and coworkers, have a positive attitude, and be a good team player.

Nice To Haves

  • Drug and Alcohol experience preferred but not required
  • CPR certification (preferred but will train)

Responsibilities

  • Help clients achieve treatment goals and objectives by coaching and guiding clients in resolving simple problems and acquiring skills for living a sober lifestyle. Model this for Program Technician’s you are supervising.
  • Ensure Program Technician staff follow the posted schedule (groups, activities, etc.)
  • Monitor clients for compliance with Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC expectations, rules and regulations. Give suggestions for proper protocols for Program Technician’s to follow.
  • Conduct change of shift meetings with Program Technician staff and ensure all duties/tasks are assigned to specific staff members.
  • Ensure that clients are always being monitored by Program Technician’s to ensure their safety and well being through regular rounds and roll calls. Program technician staff are to be on the floor, not in the office unless performing a specific task. Train Program Technician’s in how to do roll call and rounds.
  • Monitor client attendance and behavior at 12-step meetings, educational sessions and meals. Assist with client meals as needed. Train Program Technician staff in the procedure to follow at 12-step meetings.
  • Supervises clients doing their chores, trains Program Technician staff in what chores need to be done and how to show clients.
  • Conducts group activities for clients (e.g. movies, big book groups) and ensures the Program Technician’s are following a format to do the groups.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments, admits and discharges and outside 12-step meetings.
  • Documents facility and activities to ensure the ongoing maintenance of records and reports (e.g. EMR group notes, status book and client counts each shift).
  • Assist and train Program Technician staff in verbal de-escalating techniques of client situations.
  • Assist with client body and belongings searches and trains Program Technician staff for the proper procedures.
  • Obtain urine drug screen from clients, train Program Technician staff in how to do urine screening.
  • Assist Program Technician staff in proper monitoring of client visitation, training Program Technician staff on the same.
  • Report all incidents including potential hazards which may result in an accident or injury to the client, staff, or others.
  • Demonstrate job specific knowledge of fire and disaster preparedness during drills or actual situations and be able to supervise and train Program Technician’s to do the same.
  • Protect client rights and apply the principles of client privacy and confidentiality to all practices.
  • Meet all standards for PA Health Department, Alpine Springs Linesville, LCC and CARF standards.
  • Maintain the Program Technician schedule to ensure optimal staffing and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct the annual performance review process, provide constructive feedback and establish professional development goals for staff members.
  • Oversee the approval and documentation of PTO requests, call-offs (e.g. requesting medical excuses if required.)
  • Responsible for being on-call once every 4 weeks.
  • Responsible for covering any unassigned shifts.
  • Any other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
  • Supervise Program Technician staff and work with the clinical director to ensure Program Technician staff are trained appropriately.
  • Travel to both Linesville and Greenville facility locations.
