About The Position

The Program Support Specialist will serve an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of the program through providing organizational, clerical, and administrative support to supported staff as well as assisting in program activities and special projects as assigned. The Program Support Specialist may arrange intakes, track outcomes, and ensure the program has the supplies necessary to operate. They may also be responsible for managing and prioritizing referrals while maintaining a working relationship with referral sources and providing ongoing support to Program Director, Program Staff and referral sources as needed. Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma
  • Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and must be insurable under Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio’s insurance carrier
  • 3-5 years of previous administrative experience
  • Must be knowledgeable in software and computer applications such as Microsoft EXCEL
  • Must be able to clear a Federal Level background test
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple projects
  • Ability to Operate in a trauma-informed and gender responsive manner
  • Ability to Operate in a culturally sensitive manner that celebrates the diversity of both team members and clients
  • This position offers flexible hours and requires some evening and weekend work
  • First Aid & CPR certification is required and must be maintained. VOAOHIN will provide certification if not already obtained
  • ability to clear a DCS background check (Behavioral Health Programs)

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree is preferred
  • previous experience with Electronic Health Records and Medical Insurance (Behavioral Health Programs)
