The incumbent serves as the Program Support Assistant to one of the Social Work Service program areas and Supervisor in the Community Care Program, specifically supporting the Contract Nursing Home (CNH) and Adult Day Care (ADC) program that serves veterans. The incumbent provides general clerical assistance to the Community Nursing Home Supervisor by collecting and analyzing data to prepare reports. Performs work of a general support nature which encompasses a variety of different duties.

  • Provides general clerical assistance to the Community Nursing Home Supervisor by collecting and analyzing data to prepare reports.
  • Completes special research projects in support of the CNH program activities.
  • Reviews documents and reports for completeness and enters pertinent information into an automated tracking system.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding denials, properly applying policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations of the CNH/ADC program when determining patient eligibility.
  • Posts time and attendance.
  • Gathers data and information to assist in the preparation of studies and analyses of manpower and workload requirements.
  • Performs typing work, whether from voice recordings or written material and/or using word processing software and equipment.
  • Uses software applications to draw information, such as Vista, access, excel, and word to prepare/assist in preparation of reports.
  • Effectively communicate with fiscal intermediaries, vendors and contracting regarding CNH funding matters.
  • Maintain obligation registers regarding funds for CNH program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
