Administration of Human Resource Programs

The Primary Purpose of the Position is: To provide routine technical and administrative support to the Chief, Surgical Service, Administrative Officer for Surgical Service and the Management Analysts/ADPAC and Service Contract Team. Position will be the Service Safety Representative, Fee Basis/Contract ADPAC, Records Management Service Representative, Service Travel Coordinator and Timekeeper.

  • Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.
  • Prepares a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring personal and executive correspondence, reports, minutes, and other documents.
  • Enters and retrieves program data into automated management information systems to consolidate and prepare a variety of reports such as stakeholder satisfaction surveys, project after action reports, encounter data, and program outcome data in accordance with established reporting procedures.
  • Maintains and updates surgery policies and procedures. Routes relevant information received to the appropriate Surgical Service personnel. Establishes and maintains files and records for the Service. Makes changes and revises the filing systems as required.
  • Schedules appointments for program with appropriate staff as needed.
  • Maintains security or confidentiality of records, equipment, or computer access.
  • Receives a large number of incoming phone calls and handles these on own initiative, answering questions where possible or directing to the appropriate source of answer.
  • Works with Records Management Liaison to maintain Surgical Service office files.
  • Independently plans and performs complex office automation duties requiring different approaches and methods from one assignment to another.
  • Operates standard office equipment (for example telephone, fax, photocopier).
