The Supervisor is an agency leader and is also responsible for demonstrating core values and interpreting the mission of the Agency in all activities. Program Info Parents as Teachers is a home visitation program that provides health and parenting education and supportive services to families.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with two years’ of previous supervised work experience with young children and/or parents.
  • Experience in working with vulnerable families.
  • Experience in working with culturally diverse communities/families and the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and have maintained expertise in providing home-based services
  • Ability to relate to families from a strength-based model even in an apparently chaotic family environment; ability to approach families from a family-centered service model.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or four-year degree in early childhood or a related field and 5 years’ experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitors direct service staff performance.
  • Monitors participant and staff satisfaction.
  • Assists in the selection of staff, participates in the orientation and in-service training, directs and provides case management, and monitors the performance of the PEs.
  • Conducts record reviews, assists in or maintains the data collection system, assists in or completes quarterly and/or annual reports, and implements a quality assurance plan.
  • Functions as the team leader: conducting team meetings, planning groups, and staff trainings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
