The Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a program within the Behavioral Health division of Bernalillo County. This role involves supervising, training, and monitoring a team of employees to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives. The supervisor will also assist with budgetary activities, policy writing, data collection, and compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and includes responsibilities related to the development and evaluation of treatment services for DWI offenders and detoxification programs.

  • Supervise and direct the work of staff assigned to specific areas of responsibility; participate in the interview, selection, evaluation, and discipline of staff.
  • Train assigned staff in specific areas of work.
  • Develop, implement, and supervise assigned community programs including policy writing, data collection, and report writing.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of program timelines and budgets to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
  • Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to meet program deadlines and requirements.
  • Monitor and report the progress of the program, providing process improvement recommendations.
  • Assign tasks to staff members, prioritize projects, and oversee the progress of work on site.
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential records and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Seven (7) years of work experience in social work, counseling, case management, addiction treatment, or a related field.
  • One (1) year in a supervisory role.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.
  • Experience in behavioral health services.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local guidelines related to behavioral health programs.
