About The Position

This position is responsible for promoting hospitality and goodwill to all customers. An employee in this class will perform daily operations and procedures, including opening and closing detail. This employee acts as facility manager in the absence of professional staff, promotes customer service as our number one priority, communicates effectively with the public and fellow employees and maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times. The employee in this position receives supervision from and reports to the Head Golf Professional.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create liability concerns, such as convictions or reckless driving, careless driving, suspended license or convictions involving drinking and impaired driving.
  • Must be able to possess Basic First Aid and CPR (Adult and Infant) certifications within 60 days of hire.
  • Some knowledge of computers and golf operations.
  • Previous working experience in dealing with the public in a mature and responsible manner.
  • Must have positive interpersonal relationship skills, specifically honesty, dependability, and a being team player.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patrons, residents, vendors, other Township employees, elected officials and the general public.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Spreads hospitality and goodwill among patrons.
  • Follows daily procedures and policies.
  • Assists in the merchandising process, which includes receipt and display of product, cleaning and organization of displays and promotion of shop merchandise.
  • Oversees Tee Time and Point-of-Sale software.
  • Maintains clubhouse area.
  • Assist customers with all questions and needs.
  • Enforces organizational rules and policies.
  • Communicates with starters, rangers and cart/range staff.
  • Registers players and sends them to the starter in a timely manner.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
