About The Position

The Cancer Prevention and Control Program at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center of Georgetown University has an opening for a Program Specialist to work on an NCI-funded smoking cessation randomized trial with individuals undergoing lung cancer screening. The Program Specialist will conduct data management and data analysis activities using the REDCap data system for this very large, longitudinal randomized trial. Additional responsibilities include providing tobacco treatment for the research participants, conducting participant assessments, and providing supervision of 2 employees and 4 undergraduate students. This position will oversee all aspects of running this research project, from supervising others on the team to participant recruitment and intervention, to high level data management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in psychology, public health, or another social science
  • May have already undergone a training program for tobacco treatment specialists or if not, will be provided with that training as part of this position
  • Prior experience working on behavioral research or clinical projects
  • Data management and data analysis experience

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work on tobacco-related behavioral research is preferred but not required.
