About The Position

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a Program Specialist in Estate Recovery to join our MLTC Recovery and Cost Avoidance team in Lincoln. In this role, you’ll play a key role supporting the program’s vital work. If you thrive on accuracy, organization, and providing excellent service, this opportunity is for you!

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent coursework/training, in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare, human services or other program related field.
Professional experience working in a human/social service or health care agency with responsibility for planning or evaluation services, programs or operational policies and practices may substitute in lieu of the educational requirement.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of: MMIS, N-Focus, OnBase
Familiarity with accounting/budgeting &/or estate planning

Responsibilities

Review & process forms for probated and non-probated estates
Process checks, certification requests and inheritance tax determinations
Answer phones and e-mails for the program.
