About The Position

The position is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary security program. The manager serves as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership directly enabling the command's mission to develop, coordinate, and execute the life cycle management of the Army's aviation and missile systems.

Requirements

  • Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices across all security disciplines.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply security regulations (e.g., DoD Manuals, Army Regulations, NISPOM) to complex and unique situations.
  • Experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and other security-related databases.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to conduct threat assessments and risk analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation: Implement a multi-disciplinary security program encompassing Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Physical Security, and Foreign Disclosure.
  • Guidance & Consultation: Serve as the primary security consultant for the command Security Manager on security issues affecting the HQ. Provide advice and guidance on the protection of classified and sensitive information, interpreting and adapting regulations to resolve complex security challenges.
  • Inspections & Compliance: Ensure HQ is in compliance with all relevant regulations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Physical Security: Design, oversee, and inspect the physical security of all assigned locations. Develop and implement procedures for the secure storage, movement, and handling of classified materials and oversee the installation of protection systems such as alarms, secure containers, and access control devices.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and present security education and training briefings to assigned personnel, including initial training for new employees and continuous education for the entire workforce, to ensure a high state of security readiness.
  • Incident Management: Serve as the point of contact for security incidents, including the loss or compromise of classified information. Review investigation reports and provide recommendations for final disposition.
