Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with coursework in the social sciences, public and business administration, energy conservation or a related field.
  • Requires a minimum of six college semester hours of accounting or equivalent professional accounting experience.
  • Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history form.
  • Requires appropriate, valid driver's license.
  • Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Under immediate supervision, for a period of six to twelve months, participates in an agency sponsored training program to gain knowledge on conducting quality assurance reviews of DCEO programs including but not limited to fiscal and programmatic reviews.
  • Completes training for reviewing financial statements, general ledgers, cost ledgers, journals, bank statements, and other supporting documents to ensure costs are charged and recorded accurately.
  • Receives on the job training to assist Grantees with external audit requirements.
  • Assists with providing information and technical assistance to program participants.
  • Attends training seminars to obtain experience and knowledge relative to programs.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
