About The Position

Peraton is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Program/Project Financial Analyst to support financial planning, tracking, and reporting activities across a portfolio of programs and corporate initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining financial integrity, supporting leadership with accurate reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project financials and budgeting, along with experience monitoring commercial lease-related expenses such as rent, O&M, and CAM charges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program financial management, budgeting, or financial analysis.
  • 9+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience tracking commercial lease obligations (rent, CAM, O&M) and related financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting financials in a government contracting or project-based environment.
  • Familiarity with contract funding, forecasting, and project financial controls.

Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and report project financial performance, including budgets, actuals, and forecasts.
  • Monitor funding, burn rates, and cost-to-complete projections to ensure alignment with scope and period-of-performance.
  • Support program leadership with financial insights that drive decision-making and optimize financial outcomes.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of program financial dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support annual budget development and multi-year financial planning.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly financial reports for management.
  • Support invoicing, revenue recognition, and funding status tracking on a contract-by-contract basis.
  • Identify trends, variances, and risks; recommend reallocations or corrective actions as needed.
  • Track and forecast rent, O&M, CAM charges, and other lease-related financial obligations.
  • Support annual lease budgeting, reconciliation, and cost allocation efforts across properties.
  • Ensure lease financial data is accurately reflected in budgets, reports, and forecasts.
  • Ensure expenses are properly categorized and compliant with accounting standards, internal policies, and contractual requirements.
  • Support audits, reconciliations, documentation reviews, and process improvement efforts.
