About The Position

This Program Operations position serves as the primary interface between the Program Office Integrated Program Leadership Team and the Factory Leadership Team, responsible for communicating all Program requirements to the Strategic Make Centers (SMCs) and manufacturing sites. The individual will collaborate with Program Management and act as a liaison to the SMCs, ensuring all program needs are integrated and supported to meet commitments. This role involves leading, influencing, and briefing across all organizational levels, including internal and external customers. The position directly supports manufacturing activities for a technically complex, high-dollar value weapon system across multiple contracts, requiring significant time in factory and closed areas, and full-time on-plant site support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate skills and experience in operations leadership throughout the program lifecycle, including proposals, development, production, and sustainment activities. The role requires working beyond a typical 40-hour week, domestic travel, and movement between buildings and local facilities. This is an On-site role.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working within a Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Production environment
  • Earned Value Management System Certified
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain higher clearance level or program access prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • CAM experience in support of fixed price and/or cost-plus contract types
  • Capital Planning, Cost Reduction Strategy and/or Constraints Management experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing tool sets from integration through delivery of product (DD250)
  • Previous leadership position in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing manufacturing plans and maintaining schedule in cross-functional, matrixed environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead, collaborate and influence driving quality and performance for program deliverables, accountable for factory integration, consolidated program performance, and unique program requirements flow down.
  • Participate in strategic Program and Operations planning for current development and production efforts.
  • Communicate across multiple program efforts, to identify, assess, collaborate and resolve any conflicts within Program Operations.
  • Manage coordination and execution of program schedules with Global Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and other functional areas.
  • Ownership of Program Operation's Estimate at Completion (EAC’s) and budget.
  • Define clear operational schedules, priorities and goals for each Strategic Make Center.
  • Prepare and present information for Gate reviews, Weekly and/or Monthly Management Reviews, summarizing program status and any on-going production issues.
