Contractor, Program Operations Manager, Speedrun
About The Position
Speedrun is Andreessen Horowitz’s flagship program that invests in new startups and partners with founders to inflect their growth with full-stack operational support. We run two batches per year, working with 150+ companies annually. As the program scales, execution must scale with it. As the Program Operations Manager, you’ll manage the day-to-day execution that powers speedrun’s operations and founder experience. This role is the operational heartbeat of the program, ensuring every session, communication, and founder interaction runs seamlessly. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders across speedrun to manage logistics, coordinate with founders, and keep the team one step ahead. This is not a task-based role. It's for someone who thrives in ambiguity, anticipates needs, and finds solutions before problems arise. You'll bring structure, foresight, and speed to a program that moves fast and demands precision. This role requires an in-office presence 5 days a week in our San Francisco, CA office.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in program coordination or operations
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Proactive and self-starting, taking initiative without waiting for instruction
- Thrive in ambiguity and bring calm, clarity, and structure to fast-changing environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with high emotional intelligence
- Fluent across tools like google workspace, notion, airtable, and slack
- Natural sense of foresight and problem-solving, spotting issues early and fixing them fast
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, startup-style environment that rewards ownership and speed
- Low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Responsibilities
- Support program execution you’ll ensure all sessions, meetings, and events run smoothly and on schedule
- Coordinate with founders you’ll collect updates, confirm logistics, and share reminders or key information
- Manage community communications you’ll post updates, organize channels, and maintain accurate participant lists across slack and other tools
- Anticipate needs and remove blockers you’ll identify potential roadblocks early, propose solutions, and keep the team ahead of schedule
- Oversee internal updates and alignment you’ll compile and distribute agendas, summaries, and follow-ups to founders and internal stakeholders
- Align across teams you’ll partner with key stakeholders across speedrun to ensure logistics, data, and communications are consistent and up to date
- Support events you’ll help plan and execute team offsites, dinners, and demo day, ensuring every detail is handled
- Maintain documentation you’ll own shared resources in notion, airtable, and google workspace to keep the team and founders aligned
