About The Position

St. Mary's Catholic School in Taylor is looking for joyful and organized After School Care workers for our Program of After School Enrichment (PASE). PASE Assistants will plan for and supervise students after school, grouped into classes by age and interest. Classes are offered from 4-5 PM and 5-6 pm each day, Monday through Friday. PASE Assistants will report to work by 3 - 3:30 pm. St. Mary's in Taylor has been educating generations of children in wisdom and virtue, centered on Christ, since 1896. Together with the pastor, the principal makes Christ’s mission present and enduring in the school. In order to fulfill this mission, the principal employs suitable, chosen collaborators. The principal shares with them Christ’s mission and entrusts various responsibilities to them. Positions employed in the school help to extend the ministry of the pastor and the principal in particular ways as outlined in the job description. Therefore, the employee in this position is closely connected to and assists the pastor and the principal in the performance of their ministry and thereby engages in ministry for the Church. Job Summary Prepare for students between the hours of 3:00pm – 3:30pm Supervise students (PK-8) between the hours of 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Must submit an Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Application for Ministry within the first week of employment, participate in a Protecting God's Children Awareness Session 4.0 within 30 days of submitting a complete Application for Ministry, and maintain EIM compliance during the entire term of employment.
All employees must adhere to the Catholic Schools Standards of Conduct, the Diocese of Austin EIM policies, and the social, ethical, and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church as interpreted by the Bishop of Austin.

Responsibilities

Supervises children for safety and appropriate behavior
Assists with homework
Assists with record keeping
Requires students to obey rules
Uses accepted discipline procedures
Knows all emergency procedures including location of emergency phone numbers, building evacuation procedures, and student emergency health information
Assist with maintenance of all student and parent sign in and out
Assists with proper use of equipment, grounds, and buildings
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director or principal
