About The Position

Kidcreate Studio provides enrichment programs to school children in various counties throughout the Virginia/Maryland area. We are looking for individuals who are interested in making a positive impact in children's lives through teaching Art and Science. The ideal instructor is someone who has previous experience teaching or coaching students, can teach art and science, and work with a variety of curriculum to deliver quality enrichment instruction to students. We are looking for candidates with availability between 2:15P - 5:45P, Monday through Thursday. Specific Locations as well around: Herndon, VA Reston, VA Ashburn, VA Centreville, VA Leesburg, VA Sterling, VA South Riding, VA Purcellville, VA Kidcreate art classes are a great way to introduce children to the wonderful world of art! We provide a positive, self-esteem-building environment for children to explore the visual arts. Children get messy with paint, clay, and so much more! Specializing in children's art classes, camps, and art-themed birthday parties, Kidcreate Studio is an art studio just for kids. At Kidcreate Studio, children will create fridge-worthy masterpieces, learn art concepts, and experiment with many different art materials. Weekly classes, camps, workshops and homeschool classes are age-specific and are tailored to provide each student with the curriculum that suits them best.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED.
Excellent communication skills
High level of classroom management and customer service skills
Works well under pressure
Must be available to teach at least 2-3 times per week
Reliable Vehicle transportation required

Responsibilities

Prepare room for class each day, sometimes setting up classroom or maneuvering equipment
Teach and inspire 8-15 students with provided curriculum in a structured environment (about 1.5-2 hours per day)
Overall equipment management between art/science supplies
Manage the children in an appropriate and safe manner
Ensure students are safely dismissed following class
Communicate effectively with children, parents and Studio staff
Implement COVID-19 policies and procedures
Commute to and from Ashburn Studio to pick up the supplies
