About The Position

Manages the overall operations, activities, and staff of assigned program site within direct area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited college with a BA in a relevant field.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required with two-three years in the Human Services or related field.
  • Prior management experience and a strong desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals.
  • BA in a related field plus one year of related experience preferred.
  • Certification from the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) within the first 18 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision and oversight to direct reports within direct areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures proper staffing levels and work distribution within assigned program site.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings and attends program management meetings.
  • Attends various internal management meetings, external conferences, and family conferences.
  • Manages the ongoing job performance of direct reports.
  • Appropriately delegates work responsibilities.
  • Supports the professional development and career growth of direct reports.
  • Manages the overall operations, activities, and overall environment of the program site.
  • Ensures adherence to all established policies and procedures.
  • Provides on-call and rotational support to manage a 24 hour/7 day a week program.
  • Monitors all direct costs incurred and efficiency of spending for program site.
  • Actively participates in the applicant hiring and termination process.
  • Aids in the resolution of problematic situations while encouraging independence.
  • Completes daily, monthly, and quarterly paperwork for submission to program management.
  • Reviews required paperwork completed by direct reports for accuracy.
  • Ensures the overall integrity of behavior and/or medical records and files.
  • Develops, coordinates, and monitors the IPP, IDT and/or TDT process.
  • Evaluates prospective persons served at screening meetings.
  • Reviews consults from medical and therapeutic consultants for persons served.
  • Actively participates in special projects related to behavioral treatment.
  • Maintains effective communications with persons served and their families.
  • Serves as an advocate on behalf of persons served.
  • Monitors the usage of transportation vehicles assigned to specific program site.
  • Follows state-approved emergency procedures and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Serves as a role model to persons served.
  • Provides direct care to persons served as necessary.
  • Performs other related management duties as assigned.
  • Abides by the Bancroft Code of Ethics, Mission Statement, and Vision Statement.
  • Remains current with required training certifications.
  • Maintains effective verbal and written communications with colleagues.
  • Cooperates with Bancroft and other agencies in inspections and investigations.
  • Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  • Reports any violations to the appropriate individual.
  • Maintains levels of supervision as defined in behavior plans.
  • Demonstrates Bancroft's core values of RESPECT.
