About The Position

SUMMARY: The Program Manager is responsible for providing day-to-day management and support of the Communities in Schools of Atlanta (CIS of Atlanta) program and supervising school-based staff in assigned program area. REPORTS TO: Director of Programs EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Salaried, Exempt SPECIFIC DUTIES: Duties of the CIS Atlanta Program Manager include, but are not limited to the following: CIS Program Excellence Ensure successful implementation of CIS program model according to CIS Accreditation Standards in partner schools Maintain relationships with key school staff to ensure the effective implementation of the CIS program model in your assigned school sites Ensure partner schools have an annual signed school agreement that includes details of the school partnership with CIS Atlanta. Support development of an annual school support plan for each partner school under your purview that meets the approval of the school principal and Director of Programs Work with the Site Coordinators to prospect, cultivate, and maintain partner organizations that support the provision of integrated student supports based on CIS Atlanta core competencies Manage overall communications and relationships between partner organizations, volunteers, and CIS Atlanta employees Support staff in the development of programs and activities to increase parent/ caretaker involvement Participate in the hiring process of school-based staff members for coordinator, team lead, assistant roles Ensure that all requested reports are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis to meet the reporting needs of CIS Atlanta School-Based Staff Leadership: Prepare an annual work plan for the CISA program, including the establishment of measurable objectives that align with organizational goals and monitor progress in achieving these objectives Supervise and evaluate the performance of CIS Site Coordinators, interns, and volunteers who may be assigned to your program area Provide orientation and training as needed for staff, volunteers and agency staff working with CIS Atlanta partner schools Schedule and coordinate regular team meetings Attend required CIS Atlanta staff meetings, training events, and other meetings TEAM LEADERSHIP: Serve as a champion of organization initiatives and strategies. Serve as member of the Programs Leadership Team and participate in department-wide problem solving and decision making. Provide insight, vision and leadership that enable the department to lead and respond to opportunities. Promote an intense sense of teamwork by working together effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with colleagues. Model and inspire organizational culture and values OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as needed for the successful operation of the program’ Attend and represent CIS Atlanta at community meetings, collaborative groups, and events as required

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, social sciences, education, or a related field (5 years of CIS of Atlanta experience can substitute for the Master’s Degree)
  • Previous experience with education, health, and human services in Atlanta
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of direct staff supervision and performance management; nonprofit background preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver high‑quality work under strict deadlines while staying calm, focused, and resourceful.
  • Flexible and able to recommend programmatic changes in response to feedback from internal and external sources
  • Skilled at working independently and function as an effective team member
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Georgia driver's license, proof of vehicle liability insurance and passing a criminal background check
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize activities
  • Can work independently without constant supervision
  • Strong organization skills by delivering accurate, complete, and timely reports
  • Ability to contribute to team and organizational success by fostering accountability and mutual respect.
  • Effectively build relationships with direct reports, peers, internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
