About The Position

The Program Manager leads cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver large-scale custom air handling product development projects. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with AAON’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical knowledge, and organizational skills to manage complex programs from concept through completion. Success in this role requires collaboration across engineering, operations, and external partners. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of product development programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field,or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Strong technical background with knowledge of HVAC systems and product development
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute product development projects in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, operations, and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and monitoring
  • Optimize resource allocation and coordinate with resource managers to address staffing needs.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to meet industry and customer standards.
