About The Position

The Program Manager will drive execution excellence and operational efficiency of a cross-functional team responsible for delivering new product introductions (NPI) and product transfers for Tecomet’s customers on time and within budget. This role manages complex projects, including capital and cost-improvement initiatives, requiring a solid understanding of project finances and the ability to meet company performance metrics. The role requires adherence to Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement and customer-driven innovation, while ensuring project profitability and budget compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.), minimum of three years experience in program management or engineering within medical device, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Strong communication skills up and down the organization.
  • Basic financial acumen, specifically in managing project budgets and forecasting costs.
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision and make sound decisions.
  • Effectively interface with different levels of the organization to achieve goals.
  • Sense of urgency evident in all aspects of work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems to monitor project accounts.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification a plus.
  • Experience working with customers, sales, and operations is preferred.
  • Experience in a contract manufacturer or job shop environment a plus.
  • Salesforce and Cloudcoach Experience a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes Tecomet Stage/Gate and NPI processes to deliver projects that meet technical quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
  • Ensures project results align with the approved capital and operational budgets.
  • Drives assigned programs from early-stage development through production, maintaining a focus on resource efficiency and spend management.
  • Develops and maintains program schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and financial forecasts to ensure successful delivery.
  • Organizes and updates project information for internal and external transparency, including tracking against targeted milestones.
  • Completes and reports on project risk assessments, proactively identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Looks for gaps in understanding between internal and customer teams and drives for clarity regarding project scope and commercial obligations.
  • Completes all metric reporting, including monthly project financial health updates.
  • Drives project through each stage/gate review and completes required documentation, ensuring financial targets are being met at each phase.
  • Schedules and leads periodic team meetings to review progress and assign tasks according to the project plan.
  • Facilitates communication between engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to keep projects on track and within financial scope.
  • Proactively identifies risks, develops solutions, and drives to consensus with Tecomet and customer teams.
  • Utilizes Director of NPI and Site Leader for escalation purposes and the removal of barriers.
  • Actively identifies continuous improvement opportunities within the NPI process to reduce waste and improve margins.
  • Engages in problem-solving as a core member of the site leadership team.
