About The Position

Overseeing and taking accountability for overall performance of defined scope(s) of work as indicated by customer satisfaction, quality of products and/or services provided, level of profitability attained, and other such measures as may be designated Serving as primary customer contact and managing overall company customer interface relationships for defined scope(s) of work to assure responsiveness to customer needs and effective professional conduct Mentoring and coaching assigned personnel to enhance performance and encourage professional development, hires, fires, disciplines, and documenting performance Developing project schedules, defining and assigning work to engineers assigned to program Monitoring and controlling work in progress for technical adequacy and providing active assistance to meet schedules or resolve complex technical or customer requirements Representing the company as the primary customer contact on assigned engineering contracts or programs Providing programmatic direction to organizational elements executing processes required to provide products and services that meet contract quality, performance, schedule, and cost requirements Establishing metrics and monitoring progress to assure contract compliance, customer satisfaction, and attainment of company commitments and objectives, reporting progress to appropriate levels of management Providing functional and technical guidance to engineering staff and management, performing as a project lead on advanced specialized projects or in resolution of technical problems that would critically impact performance, schedule, or cost Developing new customer contacts and conceptualizes solutions to customer problems that lead to new business for the corporation, actively identifies additional/expanded tasking with existing customers and defining technical requirements for draft statements of work

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline, and 10 years of senior leadership and management experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs
  • Demonstrated experience should include capability to lead project development from inception to deployment, expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms and demonstrated capability in managing multiple tasks of various types and complexity
  • Demonstrated experience should include the management of software, hardware, and providing technical direction of multiple complex projects to project personnel, demonstrating responsibility for all aspects of performance and the overall direction of all project activities and personnel
  • Demonstrated ability, as evidenced in the resume, to interface effectively with customers
  • Demonstrated technical experience with complex hardware or software programs, including Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), prototyping, and/or communication systems
  • U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET/ SCI ELIGIBILITY
