About The Position

Person in this position is primarily responsible for the oversight of the CES program and scope of work. This will include arrangement, coordination, and monitoring the delivery of outreach, diversion, navigation, and referral activities designed to engage clients through the Coordinated Entry System. This position will monitor data for contract compliance, submit performance reports, and will provide supervision through direct observation and follow-up training. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide administrative supervision to the Coordinated Entry System including outreach, diversion, navigation, referral, and placement. Participate in the Fresno Madera Continuum of Care’s Coordinate Entry System Committee. Assist in planning and coordinating FMCoC CES trainings/workshops. Ensure that the outcomes identified in the agreement are met. Function as a liaison to the Director of Housing Services external groups and agencies in promoting inter-organizational collaboration including attending community meetings as required. Maintain relationships with referring and supporting agencies and represent the agency at various community meetings as requested. Participate in design and implementation of research, such as program evaluation and outcome studies. Arrange for staff development, education, and training activities. Responsible for annual training calendar, including information dissemination coordination. Monitor compliance with all required standards, regulations, state, and federal guidelines. Develop, implement, and monitor procedures to meet agency policies and contract management including the preparation of comprehensive reports for funding or agency sources. Requirements

  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the underserved populations.
  • Ability to conduct outreach, including street outreach to the homeless, with knowledge of substance abuse and/or mental illness
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in word processing programs, preferably MS Word, and spreadsheet programs, preferably MS Excel.
  • Internet skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High level of initiative.
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal history background check.
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility for WestCare’s Vehicle Insurance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Two (2) years case management experience is required.
  • Graduation with a two-year degree in Psychology, Social Work, Community and Human Services or a related field is preferred
