About The Position

The Program Manager, Divisions, assists in the facilitation of the governance, strategic planning and execution of NDIA Division activities are carried out in accordance with Team objectives. Provides guidance to the program coordinators and supports the SVP of the Meetings, Divisions & Partnerships and Sr./Director, Divisions. Serves as a liaison for planning between the Meetings, Divisions & Partnerships Business Center and the Associations Divisions, Chapters, Affiliates, Working Groups, Committees, and Client events.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in business or public administration, or related field preferred, or combination of experience and education.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, and program roles gained in a non-profit, for-profit, foundation or government setting.
  • High intellect and critical thinking skills.

  • This position involves moderate travel (25%-40%) averaging one week to 10 days duration and ability to work from off-site. Must be able to travel locally to meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to Sr./Director, Divisions for developing and coordinating innovative initiatives and subsequent lines of effort that support the Division and NDIA's Vision, Goals, and Strategic Priorities.
  • Facilitates development of the value each Division to the NDIA members and Government stakeholders through assisting in the creation of relevant initiatives, content, and relationships.
  • Assist SVP and Sr./Director with all aspects of Division support.
  • Provide guidance to the Division (senior) Coordinator(s).
  • Assists in facilitating, developing, and coordinating the Division's strategic priorities, goals, and subsequent lines of effort in order to support large-scale events.
  • Actively foster and maintain positive relationships with division chairs and senior leaders by providing consistent support, -facilitating strategic initiatives, and engaging in open and constructive communication.
  • Manage diverse portfolio of divisions in support of NDIA's mission.
  • Support AD, Sr./Director with managing (e.g. standardization, charters, best practices, SOPs, succession plans and data management) division portfolio.
  • Updates and maintain Division web pages, sites and other Division documents as directed by the Associate Director, Sr./Director, and SVP.
  • Assist in curating and managing charters and succession plans.
  • Work in close coordination with NDIA Meetings, performing administrative duties in the planning and execution of meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Review and execute updates to schedules/timelines, web pages and communities sites ,mobile apps and other documents as directed.
  • Complete post-event analysis and summary documentation for senior leadership.
  • Conduct local and out-of-town travel as required to support Division, Working Group and Committee events.
  • Works with the Sr./ Director in Division related briefings to NDIA staff, leadership, and membership while facilitating interaction amongst association members and Chapters.
  • Supports Division-focused membership and volunteer recruitment activities.
  • Prioritize understanding division leadership and senior leaders goals and challenges to effectively collaborate on achieving the division and association's strategic priorities.
  • Maintain SOP/Operating Guidelines for NDIA Divisions that align with the policies and procedures.
