About The Position

The Community Relations Department of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is seeking a Program Manager to operationalize the vision of the ARC for our Foothill communities. USC-VHH is connected to a rapidly growing healthcare system that, in partnership with Keck School of Medicine (KSOM), strives to be the trusted leader in quality health care that is personalized, compassionate, and innovative. Foothill ARC will work to educate and assist community members with determining the most appropriate and least restrictive resources for older persons, always striving to maintain dignity and independence. As part of Keck Medicine of USC, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is the only community hospital in the Foothills area of Los Angeles backed by an academic medical center. Requirements

  • Masters in social work (MSW) or equivalent education in related field such as nursing, psychology, public health or gerontology.
  • Knowledge of health and other issues affecting older adults
  • Knowledge of resources and social services available to older adults
  • Direct service provider to individuals and groups, including family caregivers
  • Experienced supervisor, including to student interns
  • Experience creating, coordinating and facilitating community partnerships
  • Experience in providing community group presentations and trainings
  • Demonstrated skills with networking and fostering collaboration
  • Experienced in program development, as well as project management
  • Working knowledge of multiple software applications, including social media
