About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead large-scale facility modernization and expansion projects at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant. As a Program Manager, you will deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while leading a cross-functional team and communicating effectively with executive leadership and government customers.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant project management experience in Defense, Construction, or Oil/Gas/Chemical industries.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication with upper management and customers.
  • Technical Writing: Proficient in technical writing, such as proposal and statement of work development.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree: Preferred in a related field.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification preferred.
  • Earned Value Management: Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) or similar tools preferred.
  • Scheduling Tools: Experience with integrated master schedules using MS Project, Primavera, etc. preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions.
  • Collaborative Leader: Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale (> $100M) complex Capital Investment projects, ensuring timely, budgeted, and quality delivery.
  • Profit and Loss Management: Manage project finances, ensuring budget adherence and financial target achievement.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to executive leadership and government customers on project status, progress, and issues.
  • Sub-contractor and Supplier Management: Oversee sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Project Planning and Control: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
