JOB SUMMARY Oversees operations and activities in support of the USDA Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Programs; ensures the delivery of timely, high-quality, and cost-effective services to participating agencies. Works with the Program Director to improve the organization's capacity to serve, manage, and deliver experienced worker employment programs.

Requirements

  • Operational experience with non-profit, for-profit, and government sectors desired, with preference for demonstrated ability to implement and manage government grant programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve on and lead successful business and/or program teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and use program support systems and tools.
  • Demonstrated success as a collaborator and problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities effectively.
  • Project and people management skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8 - 11 Years
  • Education and experience requirements may be substituted on a year-for-year basis by relevant, demonstrated, progressive, and directly related education/work experience.
  • Physical requirements include the dexterity to reach, stand, climb, move, finger keyboards, lift light loads, and the ability to also function in a stationary position.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of the programs operations and activities.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for the programs.
  • Provides oversight, support, and guidance to Recruiters/Program Specialists and other REE Team staff.
  • Provides input to program materials such as handbook, resource materials, web pages, etc.; develops training opportunities for program personnel.
  • Provides support and improvements to the program website.
  • Provides ongoing support, guidance, and assistance to Agency Points of Contacts (POCs), Coordinators, Monitors, Grants/Agreements Staff, and Budget Specialists.
  • Works closely with the agencies' POCs to promote and grow the program.
  • Creates and maintains consistent communication with current clients and program leaders.
  • Develops and maintains program status updates and reports, including day-to-day tracking, as well as weekly updates for Leadership and quarterly Board reports.
  • Conducts periodic outreach visits with staff involved with the program to promote the program and build relationships.
  • Conducts educational sessions for stakeholders.
