About The Position

The Director – Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Technology Partner by overseeing the successful delivery of technology projects for state and local government clients. This role ensures alignment between client expectations, delivery teams, and Guidehouse’s strategic goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management.
  • Strong understanding of state and local government operations and procurement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with public sector environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and either Greencard holder or US Citizen.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience public sector environments.
  • Masters Degree
  • PMP or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management for complex technology engagements.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality across multiple workstreams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and transparency.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical, functional, and client stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project planning, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and internal leadership.
  • Ensure alignment with contractual obligations and delivery milestones.
  • Support proposal development and delivery planning for new opportunities.
  • Contribute to solutioning and staffing strategies during pre-sales.
