About The Position

The Program Manager oversees a multi-year enterprise infrastructure modernization initiative, ensuring coordinated delivery across multiple dependent projects. The role manages planning, execution, cutover, and operational transition activities across distributed computing, networking, storage, security, and legacy platform environments. The Program Manager aligns stakeholders, drives governance, manages vendors, and ensures operational readiness for production transition. This program spans multiple infrastructure domains including: Distributed compute platforms (Windows, Linux, virtualization) Network services (LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, connectivity) Storage, backup, and disaster recovery Security services and compliance frameworks Midrange platforms Mainframe platforms Service management transitions (incident, change, configuration, monitoring) Responsibilities include building the integrated master plan, monitoring cost and schedule performance, managing risk and issue resolution, coordinating cross-tower dependencies, ensuring operational readiness, and communicating with executive and external stakeholders. The role does not directly supervise engineers but directs project managers and service towers toward shared objectives. The ideal candidate has led complex infrastructure migrations involving data centers, hybrid models, limited-downtime cutovers, legacy platform decommissioning, and managed service provider relationships. The Program Manager must be comfortable guiding technical discussions, challenging assumptions, coordinating multi-tower activities, and holding vendors accountable to delivery milestones.

Requirements

  • 10+ years managing infrastructure programs or large-scale technical projects
  • Experience leading multi-tower migrations or modernization initiatives
  • Strong communication, governance, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience across distributed, network, storage, security, and legacy platforms
  • Ability to drive decision-making, mitigate risk, and coordinate remote delivery teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
