About The Position

Amentum is currently seeking a Program Manager for our Apollo, PA site. The Program Manager has ultimate responsibility for the overall management of the contract, including safety, material accounting, reporting, waste disposal, cost, schedule, and technical quality. The Program Manager must be competent, experienced, and knowledgeable in Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) cleanup and the specific activities identified in this contract. Key Responsibilities Plans, manages, controls, and executes events under the project's life cycle to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and program objectives. Directs effective control on assigned projects of performance, schedule, quality, and operating costs. Plans and organizes the management of a project/program for successful completion and performance consistent with contractual requirements, government regulations and program objectives. Oversees and monitors project financial status and performance to maintain contract budget guidelines and schedules. Develops and executes strategic plans and objectives to meet overarching program delivery objectives. Analyzes performance under contracts to ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, funds, facilities, and equipment, taking needed actions to meet program delivery objectives. Monitors to verify contractual and company objectives are met and requests/directs site assistance when necessary. Implements project plans by directing and coordinating project functions in the performance of contracts/orders assigned. Establishes site-level policies, practices, and revisions to existing policies and practices as required to meet company, contracts and order requirements. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as other practices set forth in upper management directives. Maintains customer contacts and visitations to ensure mature relationships. Provides leadership, objectives, incentives, and attitudes to assigned staff that lead to a quality project.

Requirements

  • College degree from an accredited school in engineering, construction management, geology, chemistry or a related field
  • Professional registration, in their respective field, where applicable or available, or certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience with HTRW cleanup or facility decontamination and decommissioning (D&D), preferably involving SNM and TRU radionuclides.
  • Five (5) of the ten years must have been in a management role.
  • Minimum of two (2) years cost reimbursable contracting experience (additional experience is preferable) with a United States federal agency
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance as they apply to the region specified in this solicitation.
