About The Position

As part of the Operations team, the Program Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) and Bedside Mobility Monitoring (BMM) programs, utilizing the Atlas Mobility model. The Program Manager acts as an operations lead across multiple sites and functions as a combination of a lead program manager and account manager, ensuring successful execution of the Statement of Work (SOW), meeting client expectations, and driving program outcomes. This position requires an on-site presence during standard business hours (Monday - Friday) with occasional evening, night, and weekend coverage as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certification required; EMT certification a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute care or healthcare setting.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated, with strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Experience in safety management, risk assessments, job site analysis, or injury prevention preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with scheduling/timekeeping software.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds without assistance

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hospital leadership and Key Points of Contact (KPOCs) across multiple facilities, ensuring a positive and consistent customer experience.
  • Act as the liaison between hospital partners, Atlas Mobility staff, and internal departments to ensure alignment with program goals across all assigned sites.
  • Maintain proactive, professional communication with clients and staff, addressing concerns, inquiries, and issues promptly to ensure service recovery and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to implement SPHM, BMM, and HAPI prevention solutions as defined in the SOW.
  • Assess and validate customer needs regularly, providing progress updates, reports, and recommendations using standardized Atlas tools.
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of Atlas SPHM, BMM, and HAPI programs across multiple sites in alignment with the SOW.
  • Influence hospital culture by consulting on SPHM/HAPI-related policies, procedures, and practices at each facility.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, presentations, and program updates using Atlas reporting systems (e.g., Lift Tracker, Mobility Cloud).
  • Develop and manage staff “Score Carding” systems to monitor compliance with AB 1136, OSHA requirements, and facility policies across assigned locations.
  • Lead or delegate participation in hospital committees, workgroups, unit meetings, and task forces to ensure program alignment at each site.
  • Collaborate with facilities to design and implement return-to-work programs, reviewing injury reports and providing coaching as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing workflows, training, and action plans to enhance program effectiveness across the region.
  • Oversee all aspects of employee management across multiple facilities, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, corrective action, and termination.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and ensure adherence to Atlas and facility policies.
  • Manage payroll, scheduling, and timekeeping systems, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with labor standards across assigned sites.
  • Track staffing KPIs (e.g., turnover, retention) and collaborate with HR and Operations leadership on workforce planning.
  • Conduct regular rounding in patient care areas to provide technical support and reinforce safe mobility practices.
  • Deliver ongoing training for Mobility Technicians on SPHM body mechanics, patient mobility assessments, and equipment use.
  • Maintain communication binders, ensure compliance with mandatory training, and complete all required reports and deliverables on time.
  • Act as the operations lead across multiple sites, ensuring consistency of service delivery and alignment with regional and organizational objectives.
  • Meet regularly with the Director of Operations to review staffing, program performance, contract milestones, and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor contract timelines, including renewals and new phases, ensuring proactive planning and communication.
  • Escalate clinical, operational, or compliance concerns to appropriate Atlas leadership for resolution.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to support account growth, local campaigns, and facility development.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives and provide floor coverage or support across sites when needed.
  • Generate operational, compliance, and performance reports to support data-driven decision-making across all facilities.
