This role will work closely with Dr. Renee N. Salas, the Founding Director, to advance The Cooperative. The role is responsible for managing Cooperative projects with substantive input into program design and implementation. This role will take ownership of key aspects of the overall project lifecycle, which will include facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders and monitoring progress toward project goals. This role also ensures that the project is completed successfully and provides support to Cooperative leadership and stakeholders. The Cooperative's aim is to improve health by strengthening patient and community resilience to growing environmental threats. It is bringing together healthcare, public health, community-based partners, and other sectors to create integrated healthcare delivery programs that focus on those most at risk. The endeavor is founded with the American Public Health Association, the Lancet Countdown, the National Academy of Medicine, and the New England Journal of Medicine Group. Summary Responsible for managing all aspects of a program and corresponding projects. Implements initiatives that support alignment with organizational goals and strategic planning. Leads the communication and collaboration with stakeholders. Develops the program schedule, budget, and various program and project plan details. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and provides regular updates to program leadership. Identifies and escalates issues and risks and recommends solutions. Leads and provides guidance and support to other administrative team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Program Management Experience 2-3 years required
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate and delegate tasks, manage timelines, and drive results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with medical professionals, faculty, and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develops comprehensive project plans and monitors and manages projects from initiation through completion. This requires competency in areas such as public health, city and regional planning, environmental factors, health equity, healthcare quality, and social determinants of health.
  • Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.
  • Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Communicates regularly on project status with internal and external project stakeholders, exhibiting a high degree of problem-solving, professionalism, and technical competency.
  • Identifies potential risks early, analyzes the possible impact, and develops mitigation strategies.
  • Analyzes data and prepares presentations of findings in support of programmatic strategy.
  • Works with Cooperative leadership and MGB Development to help draft grant and philanthropic materials, including proposals and progress reports.
  • Travels to event/program sites as relevant for partnership development, program implementation, and dissemination, as needed.
  • Works closely with Cooperative leadership to support communication efforts for web sites and other media.

  • Conducts research, manages and analyzes data in systems, and develops reports and presentations to support programs.
  • Identify potential risks, issues, and challenges associated with programs and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Monitor program progress and proactively address deviations from plans, timelines, or budgets.
  • Manages the program budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
