About The Position

USC’s Department of Neurology is seeking a Program Manager to join the Division of Neurocritical Care/Stroke. This role supports faculty, hospital partners, and clinical leadership by managing day-to-day operational, quality, and programmatic functions across multiple stroke and neurocritical care initiatives. This position is hybrid and employee must report to work at the CHP Center for Health Professions in Los Angeles, CA when scheduled. Work hours and on-site days may be subject to change depending on business needs. Impact of the Role This position enhances operational efficiency, reduces administrative burden on clinical staff, prevents costly inefficiencies, and supports revenue streams tied to referrals. Strategically, the Program Manager strengthens Keck’s position as a regional leader in stroke care by fostering collaboration, improving quality, and ensuring long-term service line sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, public health, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in healthcare program management, operations, quality improvement, or clinical services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site programs and collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and hospital leadership.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience working with data, dashboards, reporting tools, or quality metrics in a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related professional and supervisory experience in area of program specialization

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical background strongly preferred, particularly nursing or allied health experience.
  • Prior experience working within a stroke program, neurocritical care service, or neurological emergency program
  • Familiarity with TeleStroke programs, stroke certification requirements, or regional referral networks.
  • Experience with quality and regulatory programs such as GWTG, eCQM, or similar stroke-related performance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare analytics platforms, database management, or health information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and logistics for the TeleStroke and Neurological Emergency Program, supporting 7 spoke hospitals (5 referring to Keck).
  • Manage stroke process improvement and quality initiatives, including data tracking, dashboards, and reporting (HealtheAnalytics, eCQM, GWTG).
  • Lead and support quality improvement (QI/PI) projects, meetings, and documentation portals.
  • Coordinate programmatic initiatives such as server migrations, database development, and analytics dashboard creation.
  • Drive marketing and outreach efforts to surrounding hospitals, including development of collateral materials and referral-building collaborations.
  • Lead community-based education and outreach events.
  • Support system-wide initiatives including: Keck Quality Team and Patient Experience efforts Stroke Team Activations and Rapid Transfer Program USC Arcadia Neurocritical Care/Stroke Service Line VHH TeleStroke Program Norris Stroke Team Activations
