In this role you will oversee all phases of client programs—from inception to completion—ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values. Responsibilities include managing costs, implementation, and performance; negotiating contracts; and preparing business plans, budgets, and specifications. Serving as the primary customer contact, the Program Manager leads review sessions, addresses cost, schedule, and performance, and drives business growth opportunities. They establish milestones, monitor progress, resolve issues, and evaluate program profitability and viability. Working across technical, marketing, operations, analytics, and administrative teams, the Program Manager develops strategies to enhance program performance, meet client needs, and leverage market opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years project/program management experience, ideally in recycling.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2+ years people management experience.
  • Strong communication skills (listening, verbal, written).
  • Excellent organization and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, OneDrive) or ability to learn quickly.
  • Able to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Currently live in the state of Michigan.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple contracts ($2M–$5M annual revenue).
  • Ensure compliance and client satisfaction across all contracts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, software, 7–15 members).
  • Develop training materials and process documentation.
  • Directly manage 2–7 staff.
  • Oversee complex, high-risk programs (new clients, products, etc.).
  • Create technical content and intellectual property.
  • Facilitate group meetings and promote transparency and communication.
  • Collaborate with leadership on high-value, strategic projects.
