About The Position

The Program Manager at Fortive Corporation is responsible for managing customer programs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and overseeing the proposal efforts for specific clients. This role involves developing business strategies, maintaining customer relationships, managing program budgets, and leading proposal efforts while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business/Marketing with technical program experience; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years program management experience in a technical and manufacturing environment in the aerospace/defense industry.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen with an in-depth understanding of program financials and ability to develop estimate to complete (ETC) and estimate at complete (EAC).
  • Experience managing aerospace/defense proposals.
  • Experience in contract negotiations on sole source contracts.
  • Proven track record of managing contract changes of scope.
  • Experience with managing program risk, including the development and execution of a risk register, program reserves and risk mitigation plans.
  • Direct customer facing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement plans and strategies for expanding business opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Profit and loss responsibility for assigned programs, including future business projections.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships and ensure the customer's contractual requirements are fulfilled.
  • Maintain program schedule in accordance with customer requirements and control expenditures within the program budget.
  • Manage and lead major proposal efforts and coordinate program team and functional department efforts in proposal preparation.
  • Prepare and support the preparation of management and cost volumes of proposals.
  • Submit pricing recommendations for management review/approval and review customer requests for quote.
  • Conduct contract negotiations on assigned programs in concert with the assigned Contract Manager.
  • Generate and release program work authorization documentation defining the scope of work, schedule requirements, program budget, contractual requirements, and data items.
  • Develop and maintain order and sales forecasts for assigned programs and assess VOC data to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop presentations and present assigned proposals/programs to Management and customers.
  • Maintain positive communication with all company functional areas to ensure customer requests and schedules are met.
  • Travel as customer, program and Company requirements dictate.
  • May provide training and direction to lower level Program Managers.
