Program Manager

About the position

A Program Manager at MDI is responsible for driving the successful implementation of strategic initiatives prioritized by the senior executive team. He/ she provides all program management required to ensure that strategic initiatives realize the expected business value in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Align senior executive team upfront on strategy, vision, benefits and approach.
• Establish sponsorship and program governance.
• Leverage consistent program methodology to develop roadmaps that identify critical milestones to go from current state to desired state.
• Provide updates on initiative progress, its cost and benefits, and recommended course (if needed).
• Provide visibility to critical known risks and interdependencies.
• Enable business process and people change management.
• Provide necessary and timely communications.
• Manage risk by ensuring timely discussions of issues and enabling decision making.
• Assist functional teams with structure, overall cross functional knowledge, and coordination to enable deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 7-10 years experience in business management, strategy or operations including 5+ years leading projects and teams.
• At least 7-10 years experience in role requiring critical thinking, problem solving and analytical thinking.
• Exemplary time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience leading without authority, horizontal program management, and influencing/ coaching upwards & downwards.
• Ability to quickly learn business initiatives and build roadmaps and work breakdown structures, identifying cross functional dependencies/ implications.
• High degree of knowledge of program/project management fundamentals including managing scope, and budgets.
