This is a Stanford Health Care job. The Program Manager, Workforce Health & Wellness leads a variety of functional and cross-functional improvement programs. This role involves defining the intent of programs, overseeing the development of program goals, deliverables, and tracking/reporting to ensure project goals are met. The manager will assess and document program improvement efforts, define project scope, and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with department, hospital, and University policies, and government codes and regulations. Key aspects include coordinating and participating in staff training and competency assessments for program equipment, developing unit programs, reviewing reports related to participant performance, tracking advancements in equipment technology, and conducting rounds in patient care areas for consultation and promotion of program goals. The role also involves coordinating training and implementation of program strategies, developing and distributing publicity materials, and collaborating with various organizational stakeholders such as the Department of Nursing, Occupational Health, Rehabilitation Services, Patient Transport, and Security Services to ensure consistent application of program practices. The Program Manager serves as a member of a program committee, reports results to Senior Leadership, maintains data related to program implementation and injuries (including expense reduction), and maintains a quarterly dashboard of outcome/process metrics. They coordinate interdisciplinary communication efforts, manage program design to align with organizational initiatives, develop strategic input for the Director, partner with Operations Manager(s) to identify leadership needs, and coach and mentor department staff through change processes and continuous improvement. Building relationships with various departments and physician groups and understanding their workflows are also crucial. The position requires preparing and maintaining accurate, coherent, timely, and auditable project records and cost estimates.
